The conference on the topic of "Culture as an Emotion" is the second conference held by the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy on the topic of 'Art' as a tool for Cultural Diplomacy. The aim of the conference this year is to reflect on the role of art in creating social awareness and a sense of identity and how this can affect key international issues. Looking at the various forms art can take and how art and how it is used has developed, this conference will look at how art can be used as Cultural Diplomacy initiatives. The program will consist of lectures, seminars, debates and panel discussions that will feature leading figures from international politics & diplomacy, academia, civil society, and the private sector.
As the international system has developed over the centuries so has individual expression and art has become a significant medium to voice opinion and facilitate change. Used as a way to reflect the values of society, as a way of voicing concern and as a form of protest, art is becoming increasingly significant as a tool for Cultural Diplomacy. This growing use of art is becoming increasingly important within international relations and The Institute for Cultural Diplomacy reflects the desire to expand on this work.

A conferência sobre o tema "Cultura como uma Emotioção" é a segunda conferênciarealizada pelo Instituto de Diplomacia Cultural tendo a "Arte" como uma ferramentapara a Diplomacia Cultural. O objetivo da conferência este ano é refletir sobre o papel da arte na criação de consciência social e no sentido de identidade; como isso pode afetar os principais dilemas internacionais. Olhando para as váras formas de arte, como é usada e desenvolvida, esta conferência irá analisar como a arte pode ser um recursso para a Diplomacia Cultural. O programa será composto de palestras, seminários, debatese discussões do painel que contará com figuras importantes da política internacional ediplomacia, academia, sociedade civil e do setor privado.
Como o sistema internacional tem desenvolvido ao longo dos séculos, as expressões individuais e a arte tem se tornado um meio importante de expressar opiniões e facilitar mudanças. Usando como uma maneira de refletir os valores da sociedade, como forma de expressar preocupação e como uma forma de protesto, a arte está se tornandocada vez mais importante para a Diplomacia Cultural. Este uso crescente de arte está se tornando cada vez mais importante nas relações internacionais e o Instituto para a Diplomacia Cultural vem refletir o desejo de expandir esse trabalho.
